How many countries speak italy launguage?

Answer on How many countries speak italy launguage?

tmladenka is correct, but additionally San Marino, while calling it 'Sanmarinese', speaks a dialect of Italian, and I know that there used to be Italian speakers in the area of Croatia that borders Italy, but I don't know how many are still there today. I don't think that any of Italy's former 'colonies' (Libya, Ethiopia, Somalia) have taken to using Italian as a national language today.
