Birth control methods?

Okay, so I need something different. I cannot remember to take my pills everyday, and they make me extremely moody, not to mention gives me crazy headaches.

I've heard a lot of bad things about the shot, infertility years after, you get off of it, irregular periods, weight gain, all that, and do not want to take a chance on it. I already have horrible periods anyways.

The UDI thing or whatever it's called: A lot of my friends have tried it, and had it removed. It' also causes systs like crazy. I don't want to take that chance either.

I'm at a loss here. I need something I can remember, won't make me crazy, and will regulate my periods. Has anyone used the patch? What are the risks in that method.

Thanks in advance!!

the mirena device. Is like a coil in that it is fitted internally, but doesn't cause weight gain, moodiness or stuff the pill does. Lasts five years, fertility returns to normal within a month.
Have had mine over a year now, first few months i had some bad cramping, periods were very irregular, now I only tend to get one every couple of months and it is pretty light.
