When I was 13, I was 10 pounds over, then when I was 14 I was a lot more, but then I found a sport that made me lose weight that I enjoyed, and I hope you can enjoy it too. Well, I run for fun and my health, because of running I lost 40 pounds in 9 months. Because you said you are 60lbs overweight, I would suggest speed walking distances first, do not run. And a little advice I learned: You will only do this if you have some type of motivation, I have a journal I keep that I just write how my ran went and how i felt overall about the day. Also, don't feel discouraged, get a friend to walk with you, and if no one wants, then do it by yourself, because you want to lose the weight for you, not anyone else.
