I need to lose 10 lbs in 2/3 weeks. I have a reasonably good diet -
cornflakes with skimmed milk for breakfast
whole grain pasta with mince, fresh tomatoes and salad
fish with new potatoes and samphyre
my only snacks are rice cakes and orange juice, and i exercise half an hour a day, but i'm not losing any weight. i've been doing this for 2 weeks now, should i have lost weight? Please help, I don't know - should I change my diet or do different exercise (i do squats)? Thanks in advance

It's not enough to cut back calories. You've got to move more. Not just squats etc--power walking (walking at a good fast pace) for 30 min a day, or riding a bike. A fixed-place exercise bike won't do unless you put resistence on the wheel. When you ride a real bike you a pushing your own weight plus that of the bike.
Don't forget fruits and fresh veg as snacks. If you have a snack mid morning and midafternoon you keep your blood sugar level constant and you don't feel deprived. Go for fruit such as apples, oranges or whatever's in season. Avoid fruits like berries you would be tempted to add sugar to! Or munch on carrot sticks--full of vitamins and fibre and few calories.
Dress your salad with a drizzle of olive oil and lemon juice. The vitamin C in the lemon is a pickmeup.
And cut back on salt!
Make sure you get plenty of clear, cold water to drink between meals. This will help you flush the toxins from your system.
