My wife and I just came back from Italy. I was amazed at the lack of fat people I saw there compared to our country. I don't know if it was because you walk everywhere in Italy or because 80% of the population smokes. I am curious, given the different lifestyles in France and Italy (wine at most meals) how do our life spans compare?
Answer on How does the life span of Americans compare to the French and Italians?
People don't drive that much and don't eat junk food.
Life expectancy is not that different. Numbers I saw show for the American men 74.5 (79.9 - women) French - 75.8(83.0), Italians - 77(82.9), Japan - 78.64 (85.59). Time to switch to rice and sea food?
